Summer is almost officially here, and we are ready for some fun in the sun. Whether you have kids or are looking for an adults-only event, Reno/Tahoe has a plethora of events to pick from. Here are some of the top events to keep an eye out for this Summer.
Food Truck Friday runs every Friday at Idlewild Park starting at 4:00 pm
Feed the Camel runs every Wednesday evening at Mckinley Arts & Culture Center from 5:00 - 8:30 pm from June 6 to August 29.
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
If a Tahoe sunset, a bottle of wine, and a gourmet meal with friends and family, the Shakespeare Festival might be the place to go. This year they are celebrating 50 years of production. They will have two amazing shows: Much Ado About Nothing and Mamma Mia!

For the entire month of July, Reno becomes Artown. Many events will be happening throughout Reno, including art workshops for children, concerts, movies in the park, historical and cultural tours, and art exhibits.

Dragon Lights Reno
Wilbur D May Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Rancho San Rafael Park will have an immersive experience with forty-two lanterns made of steel, fabric, and thousands of LED lights. This year there will be a Lantern Food Court with a wide selection of food and beverages. This event is suitable for all ages.

Baseball season is here! Each night has a particular theme.
Tuesday is all about the tacos.
Wednesday is a thank you to our military & first responders with a special discount.

Once called the Superhero crawl, from 8:00 pm - 2:00 am, characters from DC, Marvel, Starwars, TMNT, Comics, Movies, Cartoons, and Video Games will take the streets in Downtown Reno to participate in drink specials, dancing, contests, and more.

Biggest Little City Wing Fest
More than 20,000 pounds of chicken wings will be covered in sauce, smoked, fried, or grilled by cooks near and far. This two-day competition takes place in Downtown Reno.
Hot August Nights
Classic Cars and Rock N' Roll take over Northern Nevada. From Friday, July 29 to August 7, you will see classic cars everywhere you turn.

Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
This immersive experience will walk you through over 30,000 square feet of Van Gogh art. With a new way of looking at art, this exhibit uses digital technology to transform the artwork onto walls and the ground and even allows you to interact with the artwork. The exhibit will be at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center from August 19 to October 3.

Northern Nevada Dragon Boat Festival
Celebrate the ancient Chinese sporting tradition at the Sparks Marina on August 20. Each dragon boat team consists of 20 synchronized paddlers who move to the pulse of a ceremonial drummer. Walk around the Asian Cultural Expo, performance stage, food trucks, an artisan village, and so much more.

Oh, the annual burning man event draws in tens of thousands of people who will head to the Black Rock Desert from August 28 to September 5. If you are going, we hope you have a fantastic time.
Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off

The Great Reno Balloon Race
Reno will have the world's largest free hot air balloon event for three days in September. From September 9 to September 11, head to Rancho San Rafal Park to watch hundreds of colorful balloons take to the skies.

International Camel & Ostrich Races
Over 60 years ago, two newspaper editors had a prank that stuck. Today we have the international Camel and ostrich races and fair. Professional and amateur jockeys race their camels, ostriches, and Zebras around the track.

STIHL National Championship Air Races
Eight planes will take the sky from September 14 to September 18 for the annual STIHL National Championship Air Races. Over 50 years ago, the first plane took the sky, and a legacy was born.

Street Vibrations Fall Rally
The last week of September draws in over 50,000 motorcycle riders each year. Reno, Sparks, Tahoe, Carson, and Virginia City will host events, vendors, music, booths, and SO much more.
